NEW! Programs for 2010
Drop-in Paddling - This program is open to all experience levels - whether you have never paddled before and you would like to try it out, or you are an experienced paddler looking for some extra water time, come and join us!
Schedule: Saturdays - 10:30am-noon / Tuesdays - 6-7:30pm / Thursdays - 6-7:30pm
Fee: $5/drop in session or $40 for a 10 session punch card
Note: Sessions that need to be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances will be posted here on the website. Sessions may be cancelled at the beginning of a session if there are fewer than 12 paddlers in attendance.
Rowing and Paddling Fast Track Camp - This program is an introduction to both sports and allows participants who complete the program to skip the learn-to programs and try out for League and Competitive Teams. Activities include: Erg's, circuit training, stone boat, dike challenge, dryland training, rowing and paddling. Participants may register for more than one week.
**Rowers already involved in the Development or Competitive Teams are encouraged to register for at least one week in order to enhance skill and fitness by getting in two rows daily during the summer.**
Schedule:Noon-4pm M/T/W/TH/F - July 5-9 / July 12-16 / July 19-23 / July 26-30
Fee: $250
Corporate/Group Team Building Packages - Packages start at $175 and are tailored to your companies/groups specific needs. Skilled experiential learning instructors will run your crew through a series of dryland and on water challenges in either dragon boats or rowing shells. Meeting space is available as well as catering packages. Come on out for a 90 minute water session, or a day of meetings with a mid-afternoon row or paddle.

The John MS Lecky UBC Boathouse has been established by the University of British Columbia in partnership with St. George's School and the City of Richmond. The UBC Rowing Program is one of the leading University Rowing programs in North America. Through the Richmond Rowing and Paddling Centre Richmond residents have access to programming tailored to support and enhance an outdoor healthy lifestyle. Participants in programs can enjoy the natural beauty of Richmond’s foreshore in ways they never have been able to previously. |
