our beautiful wedding

Paul and I were married in July at the UBC Boathouse.  I used no decorations because the natural beauty surrounding the venue could not be beat, not to mention the interesting architecture of the boathouse itself. During our ceremony on the lower dock our guests sat level with the water, overlooking a riverbank lined with trees.  The reception room held our guests (and catering staff) comfortably and has 180 degree, floor to ceiling windows- perfect for watching the sunset.  The view of the city and mountains beyond the water especially impressed out of town guests!  The venue definitely takes advantage of Vancouver's famous scenic reputation.  The staff were wonderful, flexible, and with Merryls professionalism the planning seemed effortless.

We would like to thank the UBC Boathouse staff for making my wedding day memorable. Not only was the venue breath taking but the staff were very helpful. I was impressed by their professional manner and eagerness to help me during the planning process. The day of was perfect thanks to their attentiveness and hard work.
