The John M.S. Lecky UBC Boathouse is a fully floating facility nestled along the banks of the historic Fraser River, with spectacular views of the North Shore Mountains, just minutes from the Vancouver International Airport and the heart of Richmond's Business and entertainment district.

The John MS Lecky UBC Boathouse has been established by the University of British Columbia in partnership with St. George's School and the City of Richmond. The UBC Rowing Program is one of the leading University Rowing programs in North America. Steeped with tradition, over the last 80 years the UBC program has provided student athletes an opportunity to learn the value of focusing on and striving for goals, and aspiring to excellence.

As well as providing UBC's renowned rowing program a permanent base, The John MS Lecky UBC Boathouse serves as a base for operations of the Richmond Rowing and Paddling Centre. With access to the finest facilities and the best location for training and racing in the Lower Mainland, recreational Dragon Boat Programs to elite University rowing programs are served from this fabulous facility. Through the Richmond Rowing and Paddling Centre Richmond residents have access to programming tailored to support and enhance an outdoor healthy lifestyle. Participants in programs can enjoy the natural beauty of Richmond's foreshore in ways they never have been able to previously.

Boasting a spacious, modern design infused with natural light, and state-of-the-art multi-media capability, the John M.S. Lecky UBC Boathouse's exquisite event hall can accommodate all types of events from small meetings, corporate events, social gatherings and large formal events.
