| HISTORY:: |
2006: The first annual Fraser Fours Regatta was a successful event despite some building delays and uncooperative weather, featuring thirty crews from across British Columbia. A thick fog blanketed the course for most of the morning, delaying launch by three hours, at which point organizers drew up a second, shortened course, turning the 5 km race into an autumn 2 km sprint past the boathouse. The event was conceived by the UBC Varsity Coaches, and was organized by regatta director and head women's coach, Craig Pond. With a fully-functional boathouse and a year of experience on the course, the 2007 edition should be one Canada's finest regattas.
